Dom Ceramiche considers themselves, “a union of technical know-how and creativity giving rise to superior, quality materials where aesthetic sophistication and modern art are accompanied by excellent technical quality in the product, the series of accessories, and service.” This quality of sophistication, modern art and technical excellence can be seen in such lines as Solid and their newest line, Palladium (pronounced \pe-‘lä-d?-em\), arriving at Statements this July. Palladium the newest line from Dom is a rectified porcelain tile for use in both residential and commercial applications for walls, floors and countertops. Palladium is the brainchild of manager Alessandro, who was inspired by the Eramosa stone which he found in Quebec. Although Eramosa stone is a shade of black, Alessandro chose three colors that appeal to North American design Tortoro, Rosso and Verde–all available in 20″x20″ and 6″x6″. Each tile varies a great deal in order to give the effect they were cut out of one huge piece of slab. Each piece also has the added character of Palladium metal (a metal in the platinum family) that was drizzled on the top of the tiles during glazed. Palladium is in the price range of other Statements lines such as India, Sites and Arizona, making it an excellent selection for new home construction, bathroom remodels, and large format floor installations.  The look of this new line combined with the price should have this tile flying off the shelves and onto floors, walls and counters everywhere.
